DYMETROL® flat drive belt systems replace rubber and synthetic V-belts, toothed timing belts, “bicycle” chain or cable drive mechanisms that must function around a radius.  They easily negotiate any curve-inside, outside or even laterally.  Belts are available in weather-able grades for outdoor exposure.

Strong DYMETROL® flat drive belt systems transmit power equally under tension or compression, save weight and require no lubrication.  They never need re-tensioning and work well under a wide range of climatic conditions.

DYMETROL® flat drive belt systems are available in various sizes, either solid or custom-perforated, to accept wide variety of drive gear shapes.  Made from oriented polymers. DYMETROL® flat drive belt systems deliver these high-performance advantages:
  • Strong, tough and durable
DYMETROL® flat drive belt systems are oriented by a special process to provide tensile strength of up to 1850 kg/cm2 (26.3 Kpsi).  They easily withstand the high tensile loading of motor-operated systems and demonstrate excellent fatigue resistance through many thousands of operating cycles.  The unique properties imparted by the orientation process enable DYMETROL® flat drive belt systems to outperform all other plastic shapes in mechanical chain drive capability.
  • Design flexibility
Unlike metal cable, DYMETROL® flat drive belt systems can be channeled to follow the path of a complex curve, transmitting energy efficiently under both tensile and compressive conditions.
  • Temperature and weather stability
DYMETROL® flat drive belt systems function well within a temperature range of -40C to +80C.  Weatherable grades are available for outdoor exposure.  
  • Lightweight and corrosion-free
DYMETROL® flat drive belt systems are lightweight and require no lubrication in service.  Additional benefits compared to metal systems include quiet operation, corrosion resistance and more compact design opportunities.
  • Creep and shock resistance
