Dymetrol™ is a leading nylon strap manufacturer based in North Carolina, USA.

Family Owned

Dymetrol™ got its start in 1993 after DuPont Dymetrol™ acquired the business from the DuPont company. We operate manufacturing facilities in Bladenboro, North Carolina, and supply customers throughout the country and internationally. Our heavy-duty solutions are perfect for pallet strapping, general bundling, and lashing applications. Dymetrol™ uses a proprietary polymer alignment technology, delivering break strength approximately three to four times that of regular, non-aligned extruded materials of the same cross-sectional area, producing superior break strength up to 400 lbs.

Made In USA

We make all of our products to the highest standards in the USA. We are Telcordia (Bellcore) Certified ensuring that our lashed cable products fulfill standards that do not negatively affect service-providing equipment or harm the environment. Our strapping products are intended for use in lashed cable construction as well as for the support of cables at splices in aerial plant applications. These cable support products consist of a strap with a removable buckle and are designed to provide high strength and long-term durability when used in outdoor applications.

100% Recyclable

At Dymetrol™, we believe in sustainability. That’s why all of our products are 100 percent recyclable. If you need us to, we can take your plastic and recycle it as a service that we offer in-house. Our services can reduce plop sizes up to 18 inches thick. We can process nylon, acetal, PET, PBT, Terpolymer glass-filled material, PE, ABS, PVC, Plop, Fusabond, and other glass-filled materials. We can also provide custom grinding capabilities, plastic pelletizing, and compounding. Learn more here.

Our Products

Acetal/Nylon Cable Ties

Our acetal and nylon cable ties are significantly stronger than any heavy-duty zip ties currently on the market. They have a 400 lb. loop break strength and are available in any length. We offer 100’ and 200’ rolls and separate heads, plus the ability to make ties to any length you require. Acetal Resin Heavy Duty ties also feature chemical, UV, and moisture resistance for the most challenging environmental applications. They retain their strength properties across a vast range of temperatures, from -40 C to 185 C.

D.I.Y. Acetal/Nylon Kit

With a D.I.Y. Acetal/Nylon kit in a self-dispensing box, you can make your own ties, complete with 20-year weatherable strap and heads. Dymetec® kits allow you to create ties of any length, letting you determine the exact material usage, according to your application. Each case comes with 10 kits each featuring 50 feet of acetal strap and 25 self-locking heads. Order one or more cases for your project today.

Dymax Nylon Strapping

Nylon strap is widely regarded as the premier non-metallic strap. Under a typical pallet load, it exhibits elongation of just 7 percent and is able to retain tension over time, keeping goods safely bundled. When pallet loads shrink, so too does Dymax nylon, preventing both spillages and breakages. Compared to other products in its class, Dymax nylon offers the best strength and abrasion resistance. Thus, from a cost-benefit perspective, it demonstrates exceptional value for the money, especially for shipments of high-value goods. Furthermore, it protects against broken or loose straps, adding to its value proposition. You can fit this nylon strapping with heat sealing, grit seals, friction welding, or scored metal.

High Recovery Nylon Strapping

Unlike steel or polyester straps, high recovery nylon strapping recovers its original shape after experiencing load. When under high tension it becomes elongated, allowing it to adapt to new conditions. Then, when the load releases, it returns to its original shape, ready for future load changes. Regular, non-nylon straps can vibrate under load (for instance, when pallets are stacked), causing them to shift, leading to product damage and injury. Nylon strapping, by contrast, recovers tension and ensures that the load remains secure, regardless of whether the load is under compression or not.

Thinwide Nylon Strap

Thinwide is our widest nylon strap for the heaviest-duty applications, offering additional break strength versus smaller Dymax and High Recovery products. It offers the same quality construction and material properties as other solutions in the range, but increases cross-sectional area, making it perfect for applications under severe load. Use Thinwide to protect your products, prevent spillages, keep bundles secure and avoid personnel injury. The product is compatible with a range of sealing methods, including heat sealing, friction welding, scored metal and grit seals.

Drive Belts & Belt Design

Dymetrol™ flat drive belts provide reliable and efficient solutions for mechanical energy transfer operations. They’re ideal for virtually any linear or rotary application, thanks to their exceptional durability and tensile strength. Typically, our clients use our drive belts and tape when they require materials to remain strong and flexible over a wide range of temperatures. Dymetrol™ flat drive belts weigh very little and yet offer incredible longevity, even in extreme conditions. They are the most fatigue resistant of any polymeric flat drive belt, delivering a long life cycle. Key characteristics include operational down to -40 C and up to 80 to 100 C (depending on the load), creep and shock resistance, and chemical and corrosion resistance.
